The European Junior Cycling Tour Assen 2024 was a warm and dry edition. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful courses and the debut of the VAM-berg.

On this climb, we saw many different nationalities win: the Netherlands, Great Britain, South Africa, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Hong Kong and Ireland. With in the week also wins for riders from Belgium, Australia, Denmark, Lithuania and Germany, there were many flags on the top step of the podium As organizers, we look back fondly on this great week. As the Stichting Ondersteuning Wielersport, all the preparations of a year come together in such a week.

It is now December, and we have already started preparing for the 2025 edition. The 58th Jeugdtour Assen will start on Monday 28 July 2025. As always, we will then be welcome in Assen-Oost for a criterium. We will also do the finale in Assen. On Friday 1 August is the criterium around Stadsbroek and the Asserbos.

The rest of the programme is the same as in 2024. On Tuesday we ride an Omloop in the municipality of Noordenveld. On Wednesday we return to the VAM-berg and on Thursday there is a time trial in the municipality of Emmen. Registration starts on Monday 3 February 2025, 10am via this website.
